The Betty Crocker Country Carrot Cake Mix 425 g makes it quick and easy to bake a soft, spiced carrot cake with a rich flavour. The mix already contains dried carrot and a balanced blend of spices, so there is no need to grate fresh carrots.

This Betty Crocker cake mix is also ideal for making cake pops. Betty Crocker cake mixes are widely used by cake pop makers in the United States because they are quick, easy and reliable to work with. No stand mixer is required: a simple whisk is enough to create a smooth batter.

The soft texture of the baked cake makes it particularly suitable for turning into cake pop dough. Perfect for classic cake pops, autumn creations, carrot cake cake pops, Easter themes and other seasonal designs.

How to prepare

Preheat the oven to 180°C, or 160°C for a fan oven.

Grease a 20 cm cake tin and line the base with baking paper if desired. For cupcakes, prepare a muffin or cupcake tray.

Mix the cake mix with:

• 3 medium eggs
• 200 ml water or milk
• 105 ml vegetable oil or 110 g melted butter

Mix with a whisk or mixer for approximately 2–3 minutes until smooth and creamy. A whisk is perfectly suitable for this mix.

Pour the batter into the cake tin or cupcake cases.

Bake the cake for approximately 23–28 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Cupcakes require approximately 18–22 minutes.

Allow a cake to cool in the tin for around 10 minutes before removing and cooling completely.
