Standard Preparation

Prepare the cake mix according to the instructions on the packaging.

For a standard cake, you will generally need:

• 3 medium eggs

• 180 ml water or milk

• 90 ml vegetable oil or approximately 100 g melted butter

Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan).

Combine the cake mix with the required ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour the batter into a prepared baking tin and bake according to the instructions on the packaging.

Allow the cake to cool completely when serving it as a regular cake.

Making cake pops?

For a richer, moister cake, you can experiment with replacing some or all of the oil with sour cream.

Use the Steam Method to process your freshly baked cake into cake pop dough while it's still warm.
