Want to use Velvety Vanilla for cake pops?

For a richer, moister cake, you can replace the oil in the standard preparation with sour cream.

At Partysweets, we prefer the Steam Method for preparing cake pop dough.

Instead of allowing the baked cake to cool completely, crumble and mix it while it's still warm. The natural moisture and warmth of the freshly baked cake help the crumbs bind together, creating a soft, compact and mouldable cake pop dough.

No buttercream or frosting required!

Once your cake pop dough is ready, portion and shape it using My Little Cakepop® molds, or roll it out and use Daisy Makes® Original Popper Sets to create beautifully shaped cake pops and cakesicles.

Standard Preparation

Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan).

Combine the cake mix with:

• 3 medium eggs

• 180 ml water or milk

• 90 ml vegetable oil or 90 g melted butter

Mix with a whisk or electric mixer for 2–3 minutes until smooth.

Pour the batter into a prepared baking tin and bake according to the instructions on the packaging.

Allow the cake to cool completely if you're serving it as a regular cake.

Making cake pops? You can replace the oil with sour cream and use the Steam Method to process the cake into dough immediately after baking, while it's still warm.
